facebookThe Spinney Luxury Boarding Kennels are custom-built kennels constructed to the highest standard with oil fired central heating and double-glazing throughout. All dogs are housed in their own individual tiled accommodation with inside sleeping and feeding area and outer covered viewing and community barking area.

Whereas large boarding kennels are impersonal, we believe that by limiting our maximum number of dogs at any one time to forty, we are best able to offer individual loving care to all our holiday guests.

We charge £12 per night per dog. However we do apply a discount if more than one dog shares a kennel £21.60. Our open times are Mon, Tue, Thurs,Fri 10am to 4pm and Sat, Sun 10am to 12.30pm, on a Wed we are closed but do allow pick up and drop offs between 9am to 10am in the morning

We are delighted to board puppies.  Their first visit is often an overnight “taster”.  Healthy seniors accustomed to kennels are almost welcome.

For giant breeds and families, we have three extra large kennels. Our standard kennels are more than adequate for pairs of medium dogs. To ensure your dog has all the comfort it requires, we provide sleeping platforms, tray beds and a vet bed, but you may bring  your dog’s own washable bed and covers, but please, no exploding bean bags or ‘human size’ duvets.  A few toys to make your dog feel more at home are also most welcome.

All dogs are walked on their own or with their family 2-3 times a day. They are always walked on the lead for reasons of security. Walks are varied and include our private two acre wood which is floodlit when dark.

We supply a selection of top-quality foods, and special diets are catered for, though you may wish to supply your own. Healthy dog treats are given regularly if owners approve.

Dogs on medication are most welcome and are carefully monitored.

During your dog’s stay, we are able, if required, to call on the services of a professional groomer operating in our on-site grooming room.

All dogs are covered under our Pet Plan Insurance Policy.  If we deem it is best for your dog to visit the kennels’ vet, our insurance will cover the bills – excluding any condition which existed prior to boarding.

Inspections are welcome during business hours – appointment appreciated but not necessary.   All dogs staying here are offered excellent facilities, individual attention and exercise.  We cater not only for your dog’s physical needs but also its psychological needs, allowing it to be comfortable, contented and confident to return to its holiday home.  It is a particular pleasure to us to see so many familiar, happy faces returning time and time again.
